Abstract
Purpose: problem Based Learning (PBL) is a strategy for active learning. Learning is promoted through problem solving based on analysis and group discussion on a case presented by the teacher. The present article is based on the experience of cases presentation writing by using PBL.
Objectives: to report the experience in writing case presentations in a way that can be useful for similar future teaching practices.
Methods: the process for writing case presentation is described, together with a short analysis of the features that help to facilitate its use.
Results: the authors suggest that writing case presentation for PBL method is the teaching practice most suitable for teaching needs in nursing.
Conclusion: writing case presentation for PBL was a real challenge to implement such a method, and was mainly overcame through the work of the whole teaching team.
