Abstract

Partner violence against women constitutes a real health problem in our days. In their daily practice healthcare professionals must face this type of situation for which there is no specific training in most cases. This article, ultimately, aims to provide nurses with a useful instrument for the assessment and subsequent approach of this problem. Establishing health functional patterns as a conceptual framework, the first step to take is to revise those signs and symptoms that can arise in this type of situations. Next, a series of open and closed questions will help detect domestic violence against women in our daily practice.
