Abstract

This piece of work presents the care process of a patient who was treated in the Centro de Salud de Trafalgar (zone 13, Comunidad Valenciana’s healthcare area 4). The information provided is the result of the patient-nurse relationship. For its development the "North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA)" taxonomy was used, as well as the "Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC)" and "Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC)". The methodology used was that of Ferrer, E., which proposes a care process parting from NOC results, which guide assessment through indicators. These are aimed at the search for elements related to the patient’s health situation, in terms of both normality and deviation. Regarding the use of interventions, it was deemed necessary to apply the "Categorization of Activities" (including assessment, prevention, method and modification), which derives from NIC and was created by the same author.
Throughout the process it was necessary to use "Zarit questionnaires" for the assessment of the tiredness level involved in the role of the carer.
