Abstract

Work addresses the different aspects of play and games as a teaching method, such as: its classification in creative play, educational and professional play, all necessary elements for the work conducted using this play to be successful. The results obtained with its application in the learning-teaching process show examples of creative play or games, some variants of educational play/games, such as round table, panel and theme discussion. Other examples of professional games include case study and simulation as well as an experience in the teaching of Information Technology in the nursing degree offered by the "Dr Zoilo E. Marinello Vidaurreta" Medical Sciences School in Las Tunas.
