Abstract
This article deals with the imminent need of Research in the nursing field due to the importance it has for general public health, highlighting, amongst others the importance it has in public health in general, the development of experimental designs that achieve the integral incorporation of nursing graduates into the National Health System and their expectations with this new university programme. This is carried out by using a practical example, a call to research in this discipline, describing the way to present and to conceive a research project, with the aim of motivating he readers in the complex and necessary world of research. The subject is introduced by relating the preliminary essential steps to be taken to carry out the research project. Research in the area of nursing is a current need, and the design of research projects in the nursing area does not differ from other research projects of other sciences.
