Abstract
As the XX came to its end, it witnessed large efforts aimed at reaching excellent standards in higher medical education. Abraham Flexner, pioneer of medical education, carried out inspections at medical universities throughout the United States and Canada. These inspections concluded with the publication in 1910 of a report called the “Flexner report”, where a set of recommendations are established for the teaching of medicine which were almost universally standards. The authors intents with this work to get closer to the life, the work and the transcendence of some of Flexner’s recommendations that are still in force in the training of human resources in biomedical careers.
