Abstract

This paper revises the role of nurses during the Spanish Civil War through countless publications on the conflict, as highlighted by the finding of the memoirs of two soldiers who were wounded and hospitalized during the war. It is worth pointing out that despite the countless publications on the war and after having revised many writings describing the battle field, in which the sanitary aspect was vitally important, very few references are made to the presence of nurses and the role they played in the war.
