Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe how communication and information technologies (CITs) facilitate access to the training of an increasing number of people, for these technologies help transmit knowledge more rapidly and effectively. The article defines what an Intranet and what a Tele-Education (E-education) Platform are constituted of, showing the utilities as well as strengths and weaknesses of a given university, the Universidad Católica de Valencia (UCV). The article describes the manner in which students can pursue their “learning-teaching process” without being dependent on the barriers imposed by distance and time.
