Abstract

The health risks associated with increased body mass index (BMI) are continuous and the interpretation of classifications of BMI, in relation to risk may differ for different populations.
Within the scope of obesity prevention, health education involves teaching eating habits and encouraging physical activity.
This critical health care activity, which often it cannot be carried out due to lack of time, should be done in collaboration with family doctors.
