Abstract

The assessment in general, and of university teachers in particular, is more common and is linked with increasing frequency with processes of democratization of society and of improvement and innovation of the teaching function. In this process, the evaluation of institutions and teachers is essential and is based on profound changes in the legislation mandating college life.
The School of Nursing of UV, in the Poza Rica-Tuxpan area, has developed an improvement plan and assessment process of teachers working in the basic curriculum of nursing degree in Poza Rica.
In 2010, teachers assigned to the nursing school of the Universidad Veracruzana, will be evaluated by the area coordinator, the students and through self-evaluation.
It is important to highlight that the evaluation of their teaching practice, either individually or as a whole team, is listed as one of the most powerful training strategies to improve the quality of teaching-learning process.
