Abstract

Reflective learning is a good method to favour the change process needed in the new setting of current teaching geared towards the European Space for Higher Education. The paper presents the experience carried out by the Universidad Rovira i Virgili Campus Terres de l’Ebre School of Nursing, in the subject of Applied Psychosocial Sciences. The student was given the option to choose among the different pedagogical strategies, one of which was based on reflective learning. The objectives were aimed at utilising a more active, reflective, and participative methodology for the student, as well as to initiate the change in the role of both the teacher and the student.
From the results obtained from the experience, it is concluded that the level of satisfaction both for the teacher and student is optimal. In the assessment, the option of reflective learning obtained the highest scores.
A need is detected to implant the utilisation of communication and information technologies in order to offer equal opportunities to all students.
