Abstract

The professional interpersonal relationship patien-family, is established as of the need of help that cause the health problems and is made necessary that the nurse value the deficitpresence of self-steem, since the own disease or its effects produce frequently feelings of disability in the persons, that will impact in their self-perception. In the field. In the field of the practical nurse, understood as relationship of help, is considered of great importance that the professionals will be able to handle aspects related to the self-esteem, since this will permits to establish, with the patients and their families,relationships that promote the personal development. In these circumstances the identification of the problem on the part of the nurse as well as the measures directed to promote the self-esteem will result beneficial for the patient and his family.
