Abstract

Descriptive and longitudinal study which tries to show favorable changes found in Nursing Diagnosis statements within a Nursing Discharge Report with respect to the former evaluation in 1991.

Nursing Diagnosis from 329 charts, which proceed from thereference hospital, have been analyzed, using the NANDATaxonomy and a Nursing Diagnosis evaluation tool designed by us.

The results have shown a remarkable improvement in both, quantityand quality of Nursing Diagnosis statements.

This change shows up that the nursing language is becoming moreand more important for the expression of nursing autonomy.
