Abstract

The increase of disorders on the eating habits in our society and allkind of diseases related to them (anorexia, bulimia, obesity) makesnecessary to study the social context who helps it and which arethe risk groups who suffer them.

This survey has two aims. On the one hand to show the impactand the prevalence of these disorders in the Spanish society andthe importance of prevention if we want to act before disease isdiagnosed and on the other hand to emphasize the tools the Community Nursing has to prevent these diseases and to promote healthy eating habits.

Nurses should be able to assume this challenge and work onprevention of these disorders with all the available tools in order toavoid this third cause of chronicle disease among teenagers.
