Abstract

Presentation of the standard care plan for the adult with cancer in theadvance stage, and his/her family, as a practical guide wich clarifies thecare path to follow in this process.

To start with, we frame the process which will be standarized. Thisframing of the situation will allow us to identify and relate all that theperson is going to go through in this moment of his/her life, and in thisstage of his/her illness.

In second place, we state the carachteristics which define the personthat goes through this process.

We stress the need to work from the care situation that the person willhave to face up in order to reinforce the preventive side of the care.

The care situations and prevalent nursing diagnoses fall withinVirginia Henderson model.
