Abstract
Objective: To investigate the most common Nursing Diagnosis in children aged 2 to 5 years included in the "Niño Sano" (Healthy Child) Programme.
Design: Transversal descriptive study. A semi-structured interview was used (under the structure of functional health patterns) focussed on diagnosis with 191 children aged 2 to 5 years. NANDA I (XII conference) taxonomy labels were used to enunciate the diagnosis. A descriptive analysis of the data was used.
Results: 49,2% boys and 50,8% girls. Per child, 1,73 diagnosis were found. The most frequent dysfunctional pattern was the nutritional—metabolic (32,43% of the problem labels). The most frequent labels were those of altered nutrition (24,32%) and that of Health seeking behaviors (21,6%). The health labels were 21,6%, those of risk 24,3% and those of real problems 54,1%.
