Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Reminiscence Therapy as a form to improve the quality of life (psycological wellbeing, personal satisfaction, attitude and of daily activities) of the old people.
A cuasiexperimental studies was carried out. Two groups were selected, one of study and one of control. The quality of life was evaluated before, during and after the application of Reminiscence Therapy.
We analyzed the hypothesis with test U of Mann Withney, having found that in the psychologic wellbeing there were no significant changes, likewise in attitudes and activities of the daily life. But in personal satisfaction that pointed out a significant high statistic.
We concluded that reminiscence is effective because it produces increase in personal satisfaction.
