Abstract
This study sought the users´opinion of the emergency healthcare provided at the Emergency Room of the Cardiologic Hospital of Manresa and to establish a comparison with the results from a previously conducted study at this same service.
A transversal study was conducted using a satisfaction survey, which was distributed among the users treated at the emergency room a week after their discharge.
Two hundred and ten valid surveys were filled out, showing a high degree of user collaboration. The global satisfaction score of the users with the care received was high. The way in which these patients were treated and the waiting time was the variable with the highest impact on the degree of satisfaction attained. Those users who had been given the information leaflet upon their arrival at the Emergency Room were more understanding of the waiting period. Significant differences were noted depending on the speciality involved.
