Abstract

The subject Palliative Care according to the syllabus of Nursing Diploma at national level is described in its present situation. The sample covers all the national nursing schools. The search, conducted in the Internet, was done according to the presence or absence of this subject, within the different syllabus. Basic content descriptors and number of credits were included.

The results showed an increasing appearance of the above mentioned subject in the syllabus in the last five years. Nevertheless in the majority of schools, Palliative Care is students' free election (elective subject), what does not guarantee a skilful knowledge in such a necessary subject.
