Abstract
Normally prenatal care is given thorough the parameters indicated in the biomedical model. This study is based on a clinical case report and shows a different perspective in the care provided during pregnancy using the V. Henderson nursing model. The study detected the following nursing diagnoses: ineffective sexual pattern, risk of nutritional imbalance caused by excessive intake, impaired sleep pattern, fearfulness, and constipation. Gestational diabetes was also addressed as a problem of collaboration. The nursing interventions successfully resolved the problems that had been detected.
