Abstract

Aerosoltherapy is a way to administer the drug in small, either solid or liquid, particles that are transported in a gas that acts as the carrier. Presently, there are several systems in the market to produce aerosols. We are of the opinion that it is of outmost importance to determine which these systems are and how they are managed in order to be able to instruct our patients efficiently on the use of these devices so that the drug is delivered with full efficacy. The aim of this paper is to provide the reader with a practical and useful view on the different aerosoltherapy systems available at present.
