Abstract

The aim of this article is to give some thought to the preventive actions and functions carried out in healthcare institutions.
The existing ideology in terms of preventive actions is analysed from different theoretical aspects. Such ideology blames the individual for his or her health problems, separating it from his or her living conditions.
Community nursing proposes a dialog between the problems and health needs and living conditions. The goal is to deviate individual blaming and to approximate social and individual responsibility as the ideology that should be present in any nursing preventive activity.
