Abstract
The Joanna Briggs Institute is an international Research and Development Unit of Royal Adelaide Hospital, and an Affiliated Institute of the University of Adelaide. The Institute arose from the recognition of a need for a collaborative approach to the evaluation of scientific evidence into health care practice. One of the most important tasks being developed by the Spanish Collaborating Centre of the JBI in a first stage is the translation of the Best Practice Information Sheet into Spanish, with the aim of facilitating the communication of the best nursing care recommendations to both the nursing professional and the general population. The objective of this paper is to disseminate the knowledge available at the JBI in order to facilitate the incorporation of the available evidence into health care practice.
