Abstract



Higher Education Space (EHES) The European Space for Higher Education (ESHE) is configured as a scenario in which important changes will take place in the mid-term resulting in significant changes for Spanish university that tend to achieve a necessary convergence with the rest of EC countries. The progression from a society of information into a society of knowledge will represent a change in the pedagogic and curricular process of all university disciplines and subsequent adaptation of new approaches emerging from the EHES. Nursing as a career faces a new challenge that will enable a full academic development in a more levelled playing field, together with other disciplines. Based on these approaches, an experience developed by the University of Alicante School of Nursing to adapt to the goals set forth by ESHE is presented. This experience is structured cross-sectionally into two subjects of the currently in force nursing curricula with a teaching-learning methodology that was adapted to the ESHE postulations in a fashion that has been termed “integrated Nursing”.
