Abstract
The constant progress made by advancing scientific knowledge and the heath care system itself, as well as the attention required by the users of the National Health System make the permanent updating of knowledge a must. Science keeps advancing thanks to the innovating and research effort made by the professional medical community. This progress must be accompanied hand in hand by a learning process that will last the professional’s entire life this progress, thus becoming a quality tool to ensure quality of service and safety for the patient. Evidence-based practices have not only become part of daily activities but their spirit has also reached legislators. Recently, several laws have incorporated evidence-based practice in their articles showing that evidence-based practice now enjoys legal backup, as governing principle of research in health and subsequent healthcare practice.
