Abstract

From the perspective of modern psychology and new health paradigms, which view human beings as a whole (holos: holistic; body, emotions, mind, spirit) in a self-realisation and constant interaction with the environment, Health education and community participation appear as exchange routes where educators, thanks to communication, find the driving force that makes us develop as therapists and as human beings. These experiences are a window to look out into the world and at the same time a mirror as far as patient interaction is concerned, that teach us about human relations and about ourselves.
Taking the transpersonal concept of unity as the central point, the educator is presented with the opportunity to self-educate himself, and proposes reflections and some practical noted to be taken into account for those, like me, who devote our efforts to this new adventure of working within the community
