Abstract
According to some studies, drug addiction has been associated with the set of values the drug user has, as these values are of outmost importance to prevent such addiction.
Different studies have demonstrated that some traditional values such as work, health, family, faith believes or religion preferences are of little importance among drug users, same as with other more modern values such as political conscience, equality and social conscience.
By means of this research Project, we aim to ascertain what the consumption patterns for drug use is in adolescents within our community and whether there is any relationship between consumption and the type of values that those youngsters have. (more traditional or hedonists).
In order to do this, we designed a cross-sectional descriptive study the objective of which was high school students from all schools in the area, both public and private.
Data will be collected at random by means of a questionnaire that will be distributed among those students previously selected in each school by means of a stratified randomised manner.
Confidence interval is 95% and accuracy is 5%.
Statistical analysis of the data will be carried out with the SPSS/PC programme.
