Abstract

There is nowadays a generalised consensus confirming that physical activity is very beneficial in the human body and that it helps prevent certain diseases besides contributing towards greater emotional stability and the procurement of greater social rooting in people who regularly exercise.
There is increasing evidence that life styles such as passive life style, inadequate nutrition and tobacco consumption, favour the development of diseases such as diabetes or cardiovascular problems leading to the loss of quality of life for many people and early death for many others.
This paper presents a work elaborated by a group of students enrolled in the optional subject called “Physical activity and the Promotion of Health” the aim of which is for students to understand that physical exercise is beneficial for the health of the individuals and for them to become motivated as health educators to promote exercise among the people that one day soon they will be taking care of.
AS young people of their times, they have chosen dancing as a way to exercise and propose a sort of dance rooted deep in the current reality of these young individuals. We depict this dance in this paper as we find it a very creative option.
