Abstract

The educative process entails a very important interpersonal relation in which, whatever the teacher does or report will have a decisive impact on the student. Interactive behaviours (open relationships, getting closer to students interests, encouragement by means of motivations) will provide the means to give collaborative and integrating responses on the part of the alumni.
The choice of how to teach the subject is a compromise that lies on a combination of need, risk, trust, and obligation. Good pedagogical practice can be rather stimulating but its improvement involves extending the range of professional behaviours that one has and to try new tactics the results of which we can only vaguely imagine. To carry out this educative mission is a hard task, as in the facilitating process of the students’ learning these fronts must all be taken into account.
It is more effective to establish a climate of trust and respect, dedicating the necessary time to listening and to taking the students’ ideas into account, to realise that communication goes beyond words, that our manners, the way we listen, the way we talk, our body mimics, our way to greet students at the beginning of our sessions, our facial expressions as well as all the other aspects of non verbal communication always exert an effect on the alumni.
