Abstract

Globalisation is a process that changes the nature of human interactions thorough a wide range of spheres, including, amongst other, politics, economics, society, technology, environment, education and health. The teaching of nursing as a discipline makes it necessary for educators to keep an open mind to change, to innovation, to new education trends, without ruling out rationality, but on the contrary, by being able to acknowledge and accept plurality as a path that leads to the construct of new knowledge on health and nursing. It is thus becomes a must to reflect on the attitudes that those whose duty is to educate in the science of nursing must have to confront the challenge of an ever changing society, without losing their own identity in their endeavour.
