Abstract

This article aims to ascertain the relevance that research has taken, as a fundamental pillar for the development of a body of knowledge proper to the nursing career. In short, some important findings are herein presented that allow the reader to become closer to the historical context that has favoured the development of nursing research in Spain mainly motivated by the changes that have taken placed in the educational-training sphere and in the legislative arena.
