Contact email: pagaegidental@terra.es Abstract As part of the oral cancer prevention measures carried out in the Primary Care nursing consultation room, the nurse has to identify two major risk factors: tabaco and alcohol. This is a very important healthcare activity that is many times relegated due to a lack of time. In suspected cases, the family doctor is advised and if deemed necessary the patient is referred to the odontologist, who will be the specialist who will make the final diagnosis.
