Contact email: lebasi2003@hotmail.com Abstract Cannabis is the illegal drug with the highest distribution and consumption in Spain, Baleares, Cataluña and Navarra being the autonomous communities with the highest consumption prevalence. Therefore, the use of cannabis in our society is a reality in which the healthcare field has a special interest due to cannabis’ therapeutic potential. The controversy lies in that we are faced with a general concern over the widespread use of cannabis in adolescents and young adults and the fear that the number of cannabis users will increase. It is a difficult debate which encompasses law, morale and healthcare therapeutics.
