Abstract Autism is classified as a generalised disorder according to the DSM-IV TR scale. According to this classification, autistic disorder is characterised by an abnormal and clearly deficitary development of social integration and communication. The present article depicts the way we approach children treated in our consultation office who suffer from this disorder in order to make them feel as comfortable as possible.
