Abstract

The demand for information on the part of healthcare professionals in order to update their knowledge must stem from a correct formulation of this need (question) and a correct information search amongst the heterogeneous variety of scientific publications and existing electronic resources.  The approach and development of a search strategy will enable more efficient locating and recovery of relevant, quality information.  This article provides the appropriate means for planning search strategies.
