Contact email: vicente.gea@uv.es Abstract The present study attempts to address the adaptation model theory developed by Callista Roy, trying to introduce the perspective that her relationship with uncertainty is joined and probably indivisible. The concept and model of uncertainty, developed under nursing criteria by M. Mishel, could become a parallel action guide for the adaptation model to promote welfare, improvement in the quality of life and the person adapting to new life situations. The method used to address it would be an example of a case study.
