In the Centro de Salud Virgen de la Oliva in Vejer de la Frontera-Cádiz, where I work at the moment, we decided to organize a "Pediatric Health Education Workshop for Parents," which consisted of 8 hours, 2 hours a day for 4 days. The workshop has been run twice and we intend to continue to organize others in the near future. Objectives: - Increasing the level of knowledge and eliminate erroneous concepts and actions. - Meeting the needs and expectations of the caregiver, promoting self-confidence. - Reducing the level of anxiety before the onset of predictable complications.- Increasing confidence in the nursing staff.- Reducing the rate of pediatric patient care delivered both by their pediatrician and the service, and consequently reducing healthcare costs.
