Abstract

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complex disorder, chronic and of unknown etiology, characterized by deep and debilitating fatigue (physical and mental) that persists six months or more, that does not diminish with rest, worsens with physical and mental activity and, in general, is associated with general systemic , physical and neuropsychological manifestations.
Nursing care can be very important in facilitating self-care, self-efficacy and coping with the disease effectively.
The purpose of this article is simply to draw attention to the existence of this syndrome, to involve different sectors of society so between all of us  we can promote awareness and recognition of CFS whose cause and treatment need to be studied and researched.
