Abstract

The aim of this review article is the compilation and synthesis of information about seasonal allergies in order to know their types, symptoms and treatments. The selected limits have been articles published in influential journals in the last five years, for humans at all stages of the life in databases such as Pubmed, Scopus and Scielo. Allergic rhinitis affects 10-25% of the population making it the most common allergic disease and coexists with multiple respiratory diseases. Allergic rhinitis, although not life threatening, significantly worsens the quality of life and as such should be seen as a serious medical condition, not only by patients but also by medical professionals who are able to diagnose and apply therapeutic interventions.
