Abstract
Material and methods: we conducted a cross-sectional descriptive study. A total of 28 patients with HF answered a questionnaire composed of 28 questions.
Result: 53.6% of the patients take the medication by themselves. 96.4% of patients received information about their disease, treatment, diet, healthy habits... 60.7% knows that their disease is chronic, 42.9% that it is evolutionary and 75% consider that compliance with treatment influences the course of the illness.
Conclusions: if the readmissions, the demand for training and percentages of compliance to medical instructions relate to treatment compliance, patients in the study did not have adequate compliance.
