Abstract

Physical inactivity has become a topic of extreme importance in public health, to such an extent that it begins to be considered a pandemic. One of the first questions that arises is how health professionals can identify if their patients get enough physical activity to promote health and reduce the risks associated with inactivity. This article describes different methods of assessing physical activity applicable in clinical practice, both direct and indirect methods.
