Abstract

Objective: to reflect on the importance of sexuality-reproductive pattern in adolescence and the views of a group of nursing students regarding the responsibility of nursing professionals and educators.
Methodology: quantitative descriptive study through a survey on a sample of male and female students from the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Murcia and make a comparison with other studies.
Results: indicate respondents identify adolescents as the most vulnerable group to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and unwanted pregnancies and identified as the main measure to prevent this situation sexuality education. They also believe that nurses should be involved in providing sexual information to young people.
Conclusions: nurses must provide sex education to adolescents to provide comprehensive care, in order to prevent the main problems though misinformation.
