Abstract

The Burnt Caregiver’s Syndrome is a deep emotional and physical experience suffered by the person living and caring for a chronically ill incurable person. It believed to be caused by continued chronic stress which can deplete the psychophysical strength of the caregiver. It was first described in the United States in 1974.

Because caregivers are an increasingly large group that performs a necessary task inconspicuous and hardly socially recognized, we have considered the importance of presenting a plan of care targeted to them.

The NANDA-NIC-NOC taxonomy has been taken as a reference, with the aim of facilitating the improvement of the care provided and the Likert scale with which we have evaluated the proposed indicators to achieve our results.

After studying the case, the role of the primary care nurse for meeting the needs of both the person concerned and their primary caregiver it is extremely important.
