Abstract

Purpose: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out to assess bibliographic resources on psychosocial sciences available to nursing students.
Methods: The amount of available references on psychosocial sciences and mental health at four randomly selected Nursing School libraries was assessed.
Conclusions: A significant chi-squared value was obtained for the relationship between study variables. Therefore, we conclude that students could have a limited access to selected information allowing them to get and professionally use some needed knowledge, depending on their specific nursing school and on the learning areas.
