Abstract

A new teaching strategy was implemented using two available tools for interactive activities based on a virtual campus: wikis and online questionnaires. The present experience was developed within the course on "Locomotor System and Nervous System Anatomy", during the second fourth-month period in Physiotherapy Grade 1st year students.

The tool impact on learning was evaluated by means of the acquired knowledge using two kinds of online questionnaires, with or without previous wiki; furthermore a student satisfaction survey was performed. Fifty-one participants were divided into three groups. Non-significant small differences were found in mean questionnaire grades without wiki, vs grades for questionnaires completed after wiki, the grades been better in the after-wiki questionnaires. We believe that use of wiki enhances active involvement of students in their own learning process.
