Abstract

Objective: to describe the perception of nursing professionals about a new quality improvement project during the 2023 flu-covid vaccination campaign.
Methodology: a cross-sectional study was carried out in the nursing team of a health center prior to the campaign. Sociodemographic, acceptance, training, security and humanization variables regarding the improvement project were collected.
The procedure consisted of introducing a series of identification cards for each of the flu vaccines and another Covid vaccine, separated by color and with the corresponding information in writing. To collect data, a Google Forms questionnaire was administered. All questionnaires were anonymous and confidential. Informed consent was requested
Results: the participants were community nurses, pediatric nurses, nursing residents and nursing students. Acceptance of the project was very high. Most participants received sufficient training. Almost all of the participants perceived an increase in the safety and humanization of vaccination in relation to the quality project. It was perceived that the project would reduce vaccine administration errors.
Conclusions: it is necessary to implement improvement programs to increase the quality, safety and humanization of vaccination
