Abstract

The quality of life is a very wide term, with a large subjective component. Because of this, and despite the numerous studies conducted assessing the quality of life from a quantitative perspective, we cannot allow ourselves to be constricted just by numerical results in the healthcare field. We propose a coupling between the qualitative and quantitative methodology, for we work with people and their manifestations are neither static nor simply numerical. What we referring to is the diversity of human beings, to the numberless ways in which people can manifest their feelings, and because of this, we do not want to focus only on the information that these numerical scales provide and in which the same value is used to assess an infinity of sensations.

This is an example of what the combination of both methodologies can provide us with in a given field.
