Abstract

The aim of this article is to assess the working method based on the stages composing the Nursing Care Plan and the current situation regarding the use of Nursing Diagnoses through a review of the clinical records of the Plasencia are Health District.
A retrospective, observational study was carried out in which the medical records of patients of the age of 14 were attended in the last six months were reviewed.
The results show that a high percentage of nursing professionals do not make records of the nursing care provided in their daily practice. Nevertheless, the stage of Nursing Care Process most recorded in intervention.
From the Nursing Director’s Office it is proposed to give priority to an adequate training and implementation of the nursing care plan in close collaboration with the university, promoting the knowledge of nursing methodology in order to advance in the nursing science.
