Abstract

Nursing is a profession with a high level of social responsibility that requires ever increasing quality standards. An indispensable element of quality training is the clinical practice and, in parallel, tutoring students in their everyday learning. In the EUI Sant Joan de Déu we are governed by a management system that ensures quality in all work processes, and especially in the training of students. The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze our experience in the practical training, with special emphasis on the mentorship of clinical learning in the figure of the teacher-tutor of practice learning and teaching tools we use to tailor nursing studies to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area.
