Abstract
The chosen method was the case study from an ethnographic approach. Data collection was conducted through participant observation and interviews with children, parents and professionals.
Among the major conclusions it is worth noting that the PICU where the research was done is an eminently technological scenario and requires a more human approach, so that the stay of the child and the family is less dramatic and it will help make the return to daily life be less traumatic.
